About the Owner

Ken Shaw, founder of Shaw’s NatureScapes, has spent most of his life working with his hands and building things that last. He first got into landscaping at just 15 years old, where he discovered how much he enjoyed shaping outdoor spaces and seeing the results of a hard day’s work.
In his late twenties, Ken took a new direction and became an ironworker, a trade he worked in for over 10 years. That experience taught him precision, structure, and the value of doing things right the first time — lessons that now guide his approach to every landscaping and renovation project.
Later, Ken went back to school and earned a diploma in Mental Health and Addictions, working in the field for a couple of years. While he found that work meaningful, he realized his heart was still in the trades.
Ken eventually co-founded a landscaping company that grew into a successful business. After some time, he decided it was best to move in his own direction and start something that reflected his personal values and creativity. That’s how Shaw’s NatureScapes was born — from a love of the craft, a respect for honest work, and a simple goal: to help people bring their spaces to life.
